Anchor Institution Initiative Collaborations

Campus Life Services

The UCSF Anchor Institution Initiative procurement team has been working with Campus Life Services (CLS) to increase the marketability of small, local and diverse suppliers by way of executing business diversity certification status. The University’s strategic partnership with the City/County of San Francisco Contract Monitoring Division and CLS increases opportunities for our suppliers. Read about recently certified local business enterprise (LBE) and minority-owned business enterprise (MBE) Peasant Pies and make a catering purchase through America to Go to increase our diverse spend.

UCOP, UCSF and ICIC

UCSF is partnering with the UC Office of the President (UCOP) and the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC) and their program, Inner City Capital Connections (ICCC), to nominate business owners to participate in a free training program to help small businesses in underserved communities build capacity and resiliency for long-term growth. The ICCC program also helps businesses navigate the continued economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Peer-to-peer connections with a national network of more than 5,000 small businesses
  • One-on-one coaching with capital and technical experts
  • Access to our ICIC Conference

If you think this is a great fit for a supplier that you work with or know of a new supplier that can benefit from this program, please share the flyer and/or send them the ICCC application link
