The UC/U.S. Bank Student Engagement Fund
awaits your application!
The 2023 application period:
opened March 1 and closes May 1.
The Student Engagement Fund is a student internship program that can help you innovate procure-to-pay processes, implement new technology, or develop process efficiencies while also giving students valuable real world work experience.
U.S. Bank sponsors student internship projects to improve UC's procure-to-pay systems
Two of last year's awarded projects: UC Davis – Virtual Card Aggie Enterprise Analyst: In 2021 the UC Davis Payment Plus program generated $95 million in spend and nearly $2 million in incentives that went directly back to our campus. With the recent change from KFS to Oracle, UC Davis will convert all existing Payment Plus suppliers into Oracle. This student intern will work with our Admin IT team to ensure that file data is accurate and up to date prior to conversion.
UC Merced – Procurement Card Expansion: UC Merced will expand its P-Card program by hiring three part-time student workers to gather and analyze current P-Card spend data, maximize P-Card process efficiencies, and create and integrate capabilities for automation in P-Card processes for our campus.
Who can participate? All proposals must include a student internship(s).
Projects must be proposed by a current UC employee who manages or administers a department/function that is addressed in the project proposal, for example: Accounts Payable, Travel, or Procurement. (See Student Engagement Fund Application for more details.)
