Frequently asked questions about Logistics Mail Services. 

Q: How do I set up a campus mailbox?

A: Send an email to [email protected] with the following information:

  • Activity/Department Name
  • New Address
  • Primary Contact Name and Phone Number
  • Secondary Contact Name and Phone Number
  • Full Chartstring
  • Requested Effective Date

 

Q: How do I set up a franking number?

A: Send an email to [email protected] with the following information:

  • Department
  • Cost Center/Chartstring
  • Billing Contact
  • Activation Date

 

Q: I never received my package that was shipped to Oyster Point. What do I do?

A: Contact the supplier to confirm that the order was shipped and received by Oyster Point. If the package was shipped, ask for any carrier tracking number if available. With the tracking number, you can track the package via Logistics utility tool, as follows:

  • Navigate to MyAccess
  • Select “UCSF Logistics Utility”
  • Select “Package Tracking”
  • A small sub-menu will appear
  • Select the appropriate method (e.g. - select BearBuy to search via a BearBuy Order Number)
  • An input field will appear – enter the appropriate information
  • Select “View Report"
  • A successful delivery will display the signature of who received your package
  • If your package hasn’t arrived at our facility – you will receive the message “Parcel has not been received at Oyster Point for Last-Mile Delivery”

Please note SCM Logistics delivery times. If your package is delivered to Oyster Point before 8 a.m. it will be delivered the same day. Packages received after 8 a.m. will be delivered the next business day.

 

Q: How do I ship a large package via UCSF Mail Services?

A: Attach a copy of the Mail Services Receipt Form

  • Clearly indicate the level of service (ex: UPS second-day air)
  • Make sure to enter your Franking Number in the field provided
  • Call (415) 502-6245 to let us know you have a large box for a pickup
  • The Logistics courier will pick up the box as they make their rounds
    • Logistics will process the package accordingly
    • The package will be handed off to the carrier of your choice that evening
    • You’ll be billed via recharge
