New AP Lockbox for Check Deposits

New process for check deposits.

Effective February 24, 2025, the Controller’s Office has implemented a new Accounts Payable (AP) lockbox for check deposits. AP can no longer directly deposit checks that are sent to our office. All checks must be sent directly to the new lockbox address. This change impacts all departments handling supplier refunds, subcontract refunds related to invoices UCSF paid, and outstanding travel advance returns.

New Mailing Addresses:

For U.S. Postal Service:
UCSF Auxiliary LA
P.O. Box 745004
Los Angeles, CA 90074-5004

For Courier Deliveries (UPS, FedEx):
Bank of America Lockbox Services
Lockbox 745004
2706 Media Center Drive
Los Angeles, CA 90065-1733

Include payment details (e.g., PO numbers, invoice numbers) with the check to ensure proper claim processing.

We encourage you to consider electronic payment instead of checks. Please refer to the Controller's Office Payment Remittance Procedures for Auxiliary and Administrative Departments.

For travel-related checks sent to the lockbox, email [email protected] with payment details and a copy of the expense report to ensure proper application.

Next Steps for Departments:

  • Send all checks directly to the new lockbox address.
  • Ensure appropriate backup documentation accompanies travel-related checks.
  • For assistance, contact the SCM Response Team or refer to the Controller’s Office Unclaimed Payments Guide.
