The University Professional and Technical Employees (UPTE) labor union and the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) union have notified the University of a one-day strike beginning at midnight on Tuesday, April 1, and ending at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1. 

Campus delivery services may experience disruptions during the strike period. Departments should urgently take action to minimize the potential impact on their operations. We strongly urge you to:

• Review your current inventory levels and maintain sufficient stock to last the strike period: Assess your stock of essential supplies and determine if you have adequate quantities to sustain your operations.
• Place orders ahead of time: To avoid any interruptions, please place orders for any necessary supplies as soon as possible. If possible, avoid placing orders with expected deliveries of perishable items during the strike period.
