Overview

The UCSF Greenphire Program provides a secure, fast, and compliant solution for paying research study participants and reimbursing eligible travel expenses. Participant payments are issued using reloadable VISA debit cards, streamlining administrative tasks, and enabling study teams to efficiently manage participant payments.

How It Works

  • UCSF currently covers the program costs, while research budgets fund participant payments and reimbursements.
  • Study teams use the Suvoda Greenphire portal to manage participants, issue payments, and track spending.
  • Payments are loaded to participant VISA debit cards (physical or virtual) within minutes of approval.
  • Supply Chain Management (SCM) provides support for research teams while participants receive customer support directly from Suvoda Greenphire.

Program Benefits

  • Fast payment processing: Payments are loaded to participant cards within minutes.
  • Easy administration: A secure online portal simplifies approvals and tracking.
  • Reduced manual work: Eliminates the need for manual administrative processes.
  • UCSF sanctioned: Greenphire is Institutional Review Board (IRB) compliant.
  • Built-in reporting tools: Monitor spending and study budgets with ease.
  • Convenient VISA debit cards: Participants can choose between physical or virtual cards.
  • Training and support: UCSF provides training and direct support for research teams.

A Reliable Program and Partnership

Since its launch, the Greenphire Program has supported over 100 UCSF research studies and delivered payments to thousands of research participants. This has allowed research teams to focus more on research while reducing administrative work.

Our SCM team looks forward to continued program expansion and more opportunities to support your research objectives.
