As UCSF continues advancing its small business procurement and Anchor Institution Mission initiatives, a comparison of Q1 2025 and Q1 2026 supplier data enriched by Supplier.IO shows encouraging growth across several key supplier categories. Over the past year, UCSF's enriched supplier population grew by nearly eight percent, increasing from 2,987 identified suppliers in Q1 2025 to 3,224 in Q1 2026. Much of that growth came from small businesses, which increased by 248 suppliers (nine percent), providing even greater visibility into businesses that can support UCSF's procurement goals. Why This Matters Maintaining an accurate supplier database isn't simply about reporting; it creates new sourcing opportunities. As supplier information is refreshed over time, newly certified businesses and ownership changes become visible, helping procurement teams identify qualified suppliers that may have previously gone unnoticed. Key TakeawayBetween Q1 2025 and Q1 2026, UCSF expanded visibility into more than 230 additional small suppliers, strengthening the foundation for strategic sourcing, supplier engagement, and reporting initiatives across the organization.
