Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does MyMarketplace replace BearBuy?

A: No. MyMarketplace is integrated with BearBuy to improve the product search functionality. You will access MyMarketplace from within BearBuy, and your MyMarketplace order will be transferred to your BearBuy shopping cart to complete checkout and approvals in BearBuy.

Q: How is MyMarketplace different than ordering through BearBuy? What is the benefit?

A: MyMarketplace offers a number of features that can improve your shopping experience, such as enhanced product information and price comparisons. You will access MyMarketplace as a punchout in BearBuy until the launch of Oracle next year, at which time MyMarketplace will be accessed as a punchout directly within the Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning software suite. Punchout and hosted catalog pricing will be the same as they were in BearBuy.

Q: When searching in MyMarketplace, does it matter which category you choose from the search bar?

A: You can shop across all hosted catalogs in MyMarketplace using standard keyword searches, part number, or a specific supplier name.

Q: What are your product filter options in MyMarketplace?

A: The search results page offers further opportunities to refine your results based on various product filters such as category, quantity, package type, manufacturer, supplier (vendor) name, and supplier badging (classification).

Q: Where are forms located [e.g., Amount-based purchase order (PO), Non-Catalog Form]?

A: The forms will continue to reside in BearBuy. MyMarketplace is only for catalog orders only [e.g., hosted and punchout].

Q: Where is the link to MyMarketplace?

A: There is a My Marketplace tile located in the MyMarketplace Powered by Labviva section at the top of the BearBuy landing page.

Q: Do I need to use Oracle to shop in MyMarketplace?

A: No, MyMarketplace is integrated with BearBuy. Do not use Oracle for BearBuy or MyMarketplace at this time.

Q: How does one take advantage of offers like “buy three, get one free” with MyMarketplace?

A. There are three ways to place an order using a quote:

  1. MyMarketplace Quote Order functionality: For catalog suppliers that do not have a punchout or publish quotes within their punchout
  2. Punchout catalogs: For suppliers who post the quotes within the punchout
  3. Non-catalog Form: For non-catalog suppliers not found in MyMarketplace

Q: Are the prices comparison in MyMarketplace only comparing prices from vendors within MyMarketplace? Do they include the vendors that are not moved over from standalone punchout catalogs?

A: Yes. Price comparisons and all offers are only comprised of hosted and Live Price catalogs. They do not include punchout catalogs.

Q: What do I do if the price in MyMarketplace doesn't match the same search in BearBuy?

A: The pricing in MyMarketplace should be honored by the supplier. If there is an instance where the supplier is not honoring the pricing or there's a pricing discrepancy, customers are to submit a ticket to the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Response Team and include the supplier's name, the purchase order, and details around what the pricing should be versus what the supplier is attempting to invoice for, or if the supplier sends you an email and says that they need an updated PO with updated pricing.

Q: Do suppliers that are registered in Graphite Connect need to re-register with MyMarketplace?

A: No, the supplier registration process is not changing. New suppliers should continue to register in Graphite Connect.

Q: When a supplier registers in Graphite Connect, will I find the supplier and their products in MyMarketplace?

A: No. Suppliers that register in Graphite Connect do not have a catalog in BearBuy or MyMarketplace. Instead, you will continue to place orders using the BearBuy forms (e.g., Amount-based PO, Non-Catalog Form) directly in BearBuy.

Q: Do suppliers that registered with Transcepta need to re-register with MyMarketplace?

A: No. MyMarketplace does not impact invoicing or payments to suppliers. New suppliers should continue to register with Transcepta to submit invoices.

Q: Does this impact how orders are sent to suppliers?

A: No. Suppliers will continue to receive a BearBuy PO.

Q: Does this impact Change Orders?

A: No. Please continue to submit Change Orders directly in BearBuy.

Q: Will the catalogs be removed from BearBuy?

A: Yes. Catalogs will be removed and reside only in MyMarketplace.

Q: Where is the Amazon Business punch-out?

A: The Amazon Business punch-out was moved to MyMarketplace (July 1, 2026). Go to BearBuy > MyMarketplace > Suppliers (dropdown) > Amazon Business > Punchout to Amazon Business.

Q: Do we need to have a Campus Procurement Card (P-Card) to buy from Amazon?

A: No. For the Amazon Business punchout, you do not need a P-Card. It is like buying from any supplier in MyMarketplace and paying by invoice.

Q: Can Amazon Business handle quote orders?

A: Amazon Business has a “request a quote” functionality within their punchout. It functions differently than a quote from other punchouts.

Q: Can we make returns to Amazon Business?

A: Yes, returns for suppliers are not changing as a result of the MyMarketplace launch.

Q: Why are some items not allowed for purchase by administration in Amazon Business?

A: It is based on a combination of systemwide and UCSF policies and best practices. If you have questions related to items not allowed for purchase, please contact the SCM Response Team.

Q: Can I add items from multiple suppliers to one cart in MyMarketplace?

A: Yes.

Q: How do I checkout in MyMarketplace?

A: After adding items to your cart in MyMarketplace, click Proceed to Checkout and then Place Order. The order will be transferred to your BearBuy shopping cart. Next, complete checkout and approvals in BearBuy.

Q: How do you modify your cart once MyMarketplace items are transferred to BearBuy?

A: If you need to go back into an order or add to an order, you would have to do a new punchout session; the “edit and inspect” functionality does not exist for MyMarketplace orders at this time. For suppliers that only support one punchout session per purchase order, you'll have to submit those items and create a new cart and punch back out to the supplier to add additional items.

Q: How do I view the status of my order?

A: In MyMarketplace, go to Account > My Orders to view orders you transferred to BearBuy. The Order Number will match the Order ID on the line items in your BearBuy cart. In BearBuy, you can view the approval flow on the requisition after checkout. Once the supplier receives the PO, contact the supplier to check the status of the order.

Q: Will favorites saved in BearBuy be kept for My Marketplace?

A. No. You will have to go in and create a List in MyMarketplace. Those lists can be found underneath your account drop-down. In My List, you can add items to your list, create different lists, and add products to your shopping list by searching. If you click on the product, you can add it to a list, select one of the lists you already have made, select a new list, or create a new list. You can export your BearBuy favorites and search for specific items to add to a new list in MyMarketplace.
