Account Management

Account Management is an essential element in the One Workplace (OWP)  team structure. OWP will dedicate at least one experienced, full-time Account Manager to each side of the UCSF account (campus and medical) who consistently focus on UCSF projects and lead a team of professionals in customer support, design, and project management and installation.

These Account Managers act as the team leaders and primary points of contact for UCSF and the OWP teams. They are responsible for delivering UCSF projects on time and on budget. Account Managers have expertise in workplaces, educational spaces, clinical spaces, hospitality and associated support spaces. They also have knowledge of all OWP service offerings and processes and connect UCSF users with the appropriate specialists as needed. OWP Account Managers will develop a deep understanding of the unique nature of managing successful projects for UCSF.

Account Management Responsibilities

  • Act as the single point of contact within the account
  • Attend project kickoff meetings and regularly scheduled project sessions
  • Participate in the Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) process
  • Provide furniture product recommendations and expertise
  • Establish Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) furniture & service budgets
  • Interface with all manufacturing partners to access diverse products and negotiate favorable pricing terms
  • Prepare and deliver product and service pricing proposals
  • Attend Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Maintain a running log of all product and service issues and provide to UCSF on a weekly basis, by close of business every Friday
  • Provide furniture use demonstrations to UCSF users and staff upon request
  • Provide initial and ongoing training and orientations for projects upon request
  • Acknowledge all warranty and service requests within 24 hours. Provide a timeline for warranty or service resolution request within 48 hours. (Actual time of resolution will vary depending on scope of issue)

Account Management is a value-added service provided at no cost to UCSF under the terms of this agrement.
