New Chief Procurement Officer

I am very excited to be returning to the UCSF Supply Chain Management team where my UC journey began. I can’t wait to reconnect with past colleagues and get to know new ones. The UCSF team has a well-earned reputation for innovation and dedication to the UCSF community. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the SCM team again and help them build on their success.

Justin Sullivan

Incoming AVC & CPO for Supply Chain Management

After an extensive search, Chief Financial Officer Mike Clune announced recently that Justin Sullivan has been named Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief Procurement Officer for Supply Chain Management (SCM). His first day will be June 21.

Sullivan returns to the University having previously served as Director of Strategic Sourcing at UCSF from 2011 to 2013. Since 2013, he has led the Strategic Sourcing Centers of Excellence at the University of California Office of the President, which have contributed almost $1.4 billion in financial value to UC campuses, and lead the growth of a portfolio of more than 300 systemwide agreements that include some of UCSF's most important supplier relationships.

Before joining UCSF, Sullivan spent 10 years at Ariba, a technology firm specializing in procurement business process software, and several years at the United States Office of Management and Budget. He holds a Master of Science degree in Public Management and Policy and a Bachelor of Science in Policy and Management, both from Carnegie Mellon University.

Please join us in welcoming Sullivan back to the UCSF campus.
