SCM Logistics' Package Delivery Program

Supply Chain Management (SCM) Logistics has been your package delivery partner and provided the Package Delivery Program (PDP) since 2010. SCM Logistics receives hundreds of packages daily at the Oyster Point facility from commonly used suppliers in BearBuy as well as carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc. Packages received at the facility before 8 a.m. will be delivered to the department the same afternoon. All deliveries require a signature for proof of delivery to ensure that the package is received at its destination safely and securely. Overnight, express and perishable packages should be sent directly to the customer.

Most orders placed in BearBuy with Fisher, VWR, OfficeDepot/OfficeMax and Blaisdell’s Office Products by 5 p.m. weekdays are delivered to Oyster Point the next morning and delivered to you that same day. Delays may occur if a supplier is out of stock on your item. However, once the order is filled and delivered to Oyster Point, the package will be processed and delivered the same day.

Benefits of using PDP include:

  • Ordering departments’ ability to track the packages via SCM Logistics site
  • Truck mitigation on UCSF campuses and neighborhoods, as embedded in the UCSF Long Range Development Plan (LRDP)
  • Reduction of carbon emission
  • Safety and security of UCSF community as SCM Logistics staff is familiar with the landscape of UCSF campuses and have badge access to most areas
  • When your office is closed (during the pandemic) SCM Logistics holds your packages and will redeliver when you are back in your office.

How do I use PDP?

There are no extra steps to sign up for PDP. However, you can help SCM Logistics to continue delivering your packages to the correct destination in a timely manner by providing complete shipping information in BearBuy, and by updating your UCSF directory with correct contact and mail box information.
