As you may have already heard, United Airlines has extended the status of select MileagePlus members through the end of January 2023.

The University of California Central Travel Office approached United Airlines to consider extending the status of those UC travelers who did not receive an extension. As one of UC’s preferred partners, the airline has agreed to reconsider those who submit additional details using this form by end of business on December 22, 2021.

Please note, this is a reconsideration opportunity to extend an existing status, not an upgrade of any kind:

• Only those with Premier Silver, Gold, Platinum and 1K status will be considered for an extension
• It is at the discretion of United Airlines to extend the status of MileagePlus members
• United will process extensions by the end of January 2022 and the extension will be valid for one year-through January 2023
• The form should be filled out with all necessary information, including a brief a reason as to why you would like an extension

If you are a United MileagePlus member currently holding Premier Silver, Gold, Platinum and 1K status, we encourage you to take advantage of this limited opportunity. Once access to the reconsideration form is closed, no other requests will be considered.
