As 2021 ends, we want to reflect on some of the outcomes the Anchor Institution Initiative Procurement team made toward our supplier diversity objectives. Here’s a few highlights:

The local gas processing plant in Pittsburg, Calif., which is shared by both Airgas USA and Linde Gas & Equipment Inc., is currently undergoing repairs. This plant serves Central California and therefore UCSF’s orders of non-medical liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen may be delayed.

To help ensure smooth processing of purchase orders and requests that need to be completed by the end of December 2021, SCM is asking customers to submit and approve requisitions, lien removals or chartfield changes as soon as possible.

UCSF’s new chemical management program, ChemCentral, which launched this fall, is now available in BearBuy. Researchers in the Weill Neurosciences building can purchase chemicals through the ChemCentral link located at the top of the BearBuy home page.

Starting Monday, October 25, One Workplace (OWP) will offer work-from-home furniture in their BearBuy punch-out catalog. OWP is UCSF’s official supplier for all furniture purchases.
